Glasgow Centre Shut Down by Police Over Serious Incident
The centre of the Scottish city of Glasgow has been closed by police following a “serious incident”, BBC Scotland reports.
Multiple sources on Twitter report a stabbing in West George Street. The police confirm that the street is closed and say they have the situation under control.
Photos show that the police and ambulance services have been pulled out onto the street in large numbers.
Sky News reports eyewitness reports that multiple people were injured. The eyewitnesses say they have seen blood and armed police officers, among other things.
Glasgow police are asking people not to go to the closed area and say there is no more threat to the public.
