Hyundai And Kia Are Calling Back Half A Million Cars In The US
Hyundai and Kia are calling back Half a million cars in the US due to a Fire Hazard. Car companies Hyundai and Kia Motors are calling back 534,000 cars in the United States, the companies report Thursday.
The vehicles are recalled due to possible fire hazard in the engines.
Last month, the companies declared that they would recall 168,000 cars because of the fire hazard.
Kia Motors is about 378,000 cars from the Kia Soul range produced between 2012 and 2016.
Hyundai recalls 155,000 vehicles from the Tucson series.
These are cars built between 2011 and 2013.
Since 2013, the South Korean automakers have already recalled more than 2.3 million vehicles,
in connection with fire danger in motorcycles of the cars.
In November it was declared that an investigation would be carried out into the handling of the recall actions linked to fire hazard.
The handling of this would not be correct, according to the reports.
