More Than 65 Million Corona Infections Worldwide

The number of people worldwide who have been diagnosed with the coronavirus has passed 65 million on Friday.

 

That figure is based on the database of the American University Johns Hopkins.

A total of 65,277,100 infections and 1,507,323 deaths have now been identified since the virus emerged in China at the end of last year. In mid-September, the number of infections passed 30 million.

With more than 19 million infections, Europe is the area with the most infections. Last week, the number there increased by 1.7 million, spread over 52 European countries.

More than 14 million infections have been diagnosed in the United States. On Thursday, the country registered a record number of new infections. More than 210,000 Americans were infected in 24 hours.
