More Than A Million Corona Infections in Poland

In Poland, the number of corona infections has passed 1 million. The country now has 1,013,747 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 18,208 deaths, the health ministry reports Wednesday.

In the Eastern European country, 622,980 people have fully recovered from the virus or had no symptoms.

Almost 38 million people live in Poland.

Poland faces a shortage of doctors and medical supplies during the second wave of the pandemic. In the fight against the coronavirus, the country has instituted a partial lockdown.

Swimming pools, gyms, cultural institutions and most shopping centre stores have closed, while schools across the country have switched to homeschooling.
