Motorola Postpones Folding Screen Smartphone Razr

Motorola is postponing its Razr, the smartphone with a folding screen, for an indefinite period. According to the company, this is because there is too much demand for the device.

The Razr would generally be available from January 9 for $ 1,500. This would make the device more than a fourth cheaper than the foldable smartphones from Samsung and Huawei, which were initially postponed.

But Lenovo, the owner of Motorola, now announces that the launch on December 9, just like the preorders that would start today, has been postponed to an unspecified time.

According to Lenovo, the device is postponed to meet the expectations of the consumer better. The company says that the demand for the device far exceeds the supply.

The Razr is a remake of Motorola’s flip phone. With a target price of $ 1,500 the device is expensive, but still considerably cheaper than the Galaxy Fold from Samsung or the Mate X from Huawei.

Although the Razr is not a high-end device in terms of hardware, the Snapdragon 710 chip is usually found in mid-range devices. And also the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage in combination with a 2.510 mAh battery make the device, not exactly a powerhouse.
