The Number of New Corona Infections in Germany Increased Again. The coronavirus was diagnosed in 17,214 people in Germany in the past day.
That is about 2000 more than Tuesday, reports the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). In the past week, 104,606 positive cases have been identified.
The total number of infections in Germany now stands at 577,593. 151 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 10,812.
The federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria have the newest cases with 4,562 and 3,568, respectively.
In Lower Saxony, the other border state, 1,102 infections were added.
