Measures Against the Coronavirus in Moscow Will be lifted by the End of June

The end of this month has lifted most measures against the spread of the new coronavirus in Moscow.

Sergei Sobjanin, the mayor of the Russian capital with 12.5 million inhabitants, says that on his personal website.

Sobjanin reports that the beauticians and veterinarians can start working again from June 9. The museums may reopen a week later, and cafes may receive guests on their terraces.

On June 23, Muscovites can go back to the gym or grab a bite to eat out.

Moscow is considered to be the source of contamination in Russia since the new coronavirus was established there.

Russia has the third-highest number of detected infections (467,073). Nearly 6,000 Russians have died from the effects of the lung virus.
