Putin Offers Trump Help in the Fight Against Coronavirus

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered US President Donald Trump help with medical equipment to fight the coronavirus, Interfax news agency reported Tuesday.

Trump accepted the offer, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said according to Interfax.

Putin proposed on Monday in a telephone conversation with Trump. A Russian plane with medical equipment can leave for the United States on Tuesday.

The United States has been severely affected by the coronavirus.

There are now more deaths than in China, where the virus first appeared at the end of last year.
