Another Demonstrator Died in Protests Against Lukashenko
Another death occurred in protests against Belarusian leader Lukashenko. It concerns a 43-year-old demonstrator, who, according to his family, was shot by security forces.
Authorities confirm that the man died in a military hospital.
The protester was seriously injured in protests in the city of Brest, near the border with Poland. The police fired live there.
Authorities say warning shots were fired first. Agents would then have been forced to shoot at “aggressive” protesters.
Relatives of the deceased demonstrator deny that he behaved aggressively.
The 40-something is known to be the third protester to have died since the mass protests against President Lukashenko, who angry citizens say, committed electoral fraud in order to stay in power.
