Coronavirus Measures in Germany Certainly Remain Until April 20
The measures against the spread of the coronavirus in Germany will certainly remain in force until April 20.
That said the cabinet chief of Chancellor Angela Merkel in an interview with the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel on Saturday.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, the German equivalent of the RIVM, there are 48,582 cases of infection known in Germany, an increase of 6294 in one day.
At least 325 people have succumbed to the lung virus. State figures collected on Saturday by the DPA news agency give a grim picture: more than 52,000 cases of contamination and more than 366 deaths.
In the fight against the disease, schools, shops, restaurants, playgrounds and sports facilities are closed. Many companies have sent staff home and shut down production.
