Explosions at School in Kabul, at Least 6 Dead
On Tuesday, there were several explosions at a secondary school in the west of the Afghan capital Kabul. According to local authorities, at least six people were killed, and 11 bystanders, including children, were injured.
Many residents in the affected neighbourhood belong to a Shia minority, more often targeted by militant Sunni groups, including Islamic State. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In August last year, the Taliban took power in Afghanistan after international troops left the country. IS has been active in the country since early 2015 and has carried out several bloody attacks in recent months.
