Italy Government Might Lift Corona Lockdown in 4 Weeks
Italy will gradually tighten the strict corona measures over the next four weeks. Italian media report the tapering on Friday, but there is no official confirmation.
“The reopening of the country will mark the next four Mondays after the lockdown introduced last month to stop the spread of the virus,” writes the most significant Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera.
“Everything depends on the infection curve,” the newspaper said. If it does not rise again, “factories that produce agricultural and forestry machines can open again on Monday, April 27”.
A week later, construction sites and the textile and fashion industry will follow. On May 11, it is the turn of clothing, shoe and other shops.
Finally, bars, restaurants and hairdressers may open their doors again on May 18, according to Corriere Della Sera.
Other newspapers speak for the catering industry about the second half of May but do not mention a date.
Visitors should keep at least a meter of each other, and customers should preferably not be placed in air-conditioned areas where the virus spreads more easily.
