Seven Victims of the Vienna Attack Still in Danger
Seven injured victims of the terrorist attack in Vienna are still in danger. The Austrian news agency APA reports this based on a hospital spokesman.
Four victims were killed, and at least seventeen people were injured. One of the perpetrators was shot.
On Tuesday morning, the police carried out house searches, and several people were arrested in connection with the attack on Monday evening. According to the police, there may still be perpetrators on the run. Austrians must stay indoors.
Germany announced that it would be more stringent checks at the Austrian border. Austria and the Czech Republic intensified border controls shortly after the attack, as a preventive measure.
A journalist from the Austrian medium Falter reports that he has discovered the identity of the killed terrorist. It would be a 20-year-old man who was born in Vienna and has roots in Albania.
According to the journalist, he would have been known to the security services because he wanted to go to Syria.
