The Leaders of France, Austria and Germany Will Discuss Terror Threat in the EU
The leaders of France, Austria and Germany will discuss the recent jihadist terror threat in the EU on Tuesday with the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.
They are looking for a typical European response to the new wave of attacks in recent weeks. French President Emmanuel Macron wants better security of the European borders.
Macron will first receive Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Paris on Tuesday.
After their interview at the Elysée, they will hold a video mini-summit from 3 p.m. in which German Chancellor Angela Merkel also participates, alongside EU President Charles Michel and Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Elysée has announced.
