United Kingdom Approves Covid Pill Pfizer

The United Kingdom has approved the Covid pill from pharmaceutical company Pfizer for use in adults.
The drug can be used in people with mild complaints and an increased risk of serious illness from the coronavirus.
Paxlovid, as the drug is called, has already been approved for use in the United States and is already being used in the European Union, although official approval is still pending.
Germany announced earlier this week that it would buy 1 million packs of Paxlovid. Each pack contains enough pills for one treatment.
