British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Speaks of Misinformation After Musk’s Statements

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has spoken out after dozens of messages from Elon Musk about an alleged child abuse scandal in the United Kingdom.

Starmer responded to a question about Musk’s attacks by speaking of “lies and misinformation”.

“Those who spread as many lies and misinformation as possible are not interested in the victims, they are interested in themselves”, according to the Prime Minister. “We have seen this script many times before, the incitement of intimidation and threats of violence, in the hope that the media will amplify it.”

Musk posted dozens of messages on X last week about years of sexual abuse of children by men of Pakistani descent. According to the businessman and ally of Donald Trump, the British government allowed this to happen and Starmer, in his role as public prosecutor at the time, failed to prosecute the guilty parties.

Musk demanded a national investigation into the abuse.

The X owner has been frequently involved in British politics in recent weeks. He called for the release of a far-right activist and new elections. Musk was also in talks with the radical right-wing party Reform UK about a large donation, but on Sunday he suddenly said that party leader Nigel Farage had to be replaced.
