President Joe Biden will also speak separately with his Turkish President Erdogan on his trip to Europe. That meeting is scheduled for June 14, according to the White House.

Relations between the two countries have been bad for years due to a series of disputes about, among other things, the battle in Syria and Turkish arms purchases in Russia.

Turkey is a member of NATO and Erdogan is at the NATO summit in Brussels that day.

Biden is in South England’s Carbis Bay on June 11 for a three-day G7 summit. In the end, he will visit the British Queen Elizabeth in Windsor, near London, on June 13.
