Tesla Booked an Unexpected Quarterly profit of 312 Million Dollars. The American producer of electric cars Tesla unexpectedly wrote black numbers in the third quarter.

It happened in a period when CEO Elon Musk was under heavy pressure due to various scandals.

Tesla made a profit in the books of 312 million dollars. It was partly due to the growing deliveries of Model 3,

whose production finally appears to be steaming after many problems.

A year ago there was still a loss of nearly 620 million dollars in the books.

Tesla realised a turnover of 6.8 billion dollars.

The share of Tesla went up clearly in US after-hours trading. The financial markets had not taken into account a particular result.

Musk was already full of confidence in May. Then he indicated that Tesla would be profitable in the third and also in the fourth quarter.

That is why he did not see the necessity to increase extra money from financiers to solve the tight financial circumstances at the company.

It was the first quarterly report from Tesla since the American stock exchange supervisor fined CEO Elon Musk,

on tweets in which he indicated that he wanted to get the company out of the stock market.

That did not happen, however.

Musk cannot be a chairman for three years.

Anyone who succeeds him in that position is not yet known.
